Lowell, Massachusetts, birthplace of Jack Kerouac, James McNeil Whistler and Bette Davis has, in recent years, become home to artists of all disciplines. The Arts League of Lowell, founded in 2004, has become a major voice for the arts in the city. Recognizing the need for artists to have the opportunity to show and sell their work, the Arts League of Lowell is producing the Lowell Arts Festival. The Lowell Arts Festival is designed to be the largest free-to-the-public arts festival of its kind. Modeled after festivals in Europe and Japan, the Lowell Arts Festival will offer visitors and collectors a unique opportunity to experience the finest this region has to offer. If you are a visual artist, craftsperson, musician, performing artist, or literary artist working in the Northeast, we are interested in hearing from you. Join us for this premier event! Call for Entries There are two ways for visual artists and creators of fine crafts to participate in the first ever Lowell Arts Festival. Join us to show and sell your work in one or both of the following events.
Call for Art Organizations If your organization is interested in participating in the Lowell Arts Festival, please contact us for more information. Call for Music and Performance Artists If you are a musician or a member of a musical group, a performance artist, a member of a theater group or a literary artist who would like to present your work to the public, please consider applying for a spot on the festival schedule. There will be several venues, from street stages to the well-known stage at Boarding House Park to accomodate continuous performances throughout the entire weekend.
